A Multidisciplinary Approach to Personalized Design of Orthopaedic Implants and other DevicesMS70

The design of orthopaedic implants and other devices such as joint prostheses etc. can now take advantage of the modern technology of addititive manufacturing. This allows full personalisation of the overall treatment, starting from medical imaging of the specific patient and going through muscolo-skeletal modelling, implant design and device fabrication. This necessarily needs a multidisciplinary approach because of the number of experts involved in this process.

This presentation is part of Minisymposium “MS70 - Innovative Challenging Applications in Imaging Sciences (2 parts)
