A new Monte Carlo software for simulating light transport in biological tissuePP

We present a new open source software for simulating photon propagation in biological tissue. The implementation follows Prahl et al., Proc. SPIE, 5, 102-111 (1989). The geometry is defined using triangular or tetrahedral meshes, and the software outputs volumetric and boundary data. Attention is given to ease of use and fast problem set up by a MATLAB (TM) interface. The simulation code is written in C++ and parallelized using OpenMP and OpenMPI.
