The primary mission of the Starfire Optical Range (SOR) is to capture high resolution satellite imagery. To post-process the imagery, Multi-Frame Blind Deconvolution (MFBD) techniques are applied to streams of imagery, using a sliding window, to significantly improve the resolution of reconstructed imagery. Reconstructions typically have detail hidden within the imagery where the dynamic range needs to be manipulated to pull out the detail, including applying image depth cropping and gamma correction techniques. The goal of post-processing the raw data is to produce the best possible reconstructed imagery. This poster session will highlight various different levels of satellite imagery captured at SOR, comparing before and after processing, and highlighting where different types of processing produce the best quality results.
