Biography
I graduated from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in September 2007. Between 2007 and 2008, I obtained my first MSc degree and the diploma of the Imperial College London in Communications and Signal Processing and in 2008-2009 I completed the “Medical Image Computing” postgraduate program in the Dept. of Medical Physics and Bio-engineering at University College London. I wrote two theses related to segmentation problems from CT images which were related to Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm segmentation and Thoracic Organs segmentation. I completed my PhD studies under the supervision of Mike Brookes and with the help of J. Kaipio and my partner in everything, Ville Rimpiläinen. My PhD thesis had the title "Reconstruction of Electric Fields and Source Distributions in EEG Brain Imaging". Between 2014-2016, I lived in Muenster and I worked at the Maths department in topics related to Raman spectroscopy and signal de-convolution. Currently, I am a research fellow at the dept. of Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
