Surface mapping plays a fundamental role in engineering field and medicine. Teichmuller theory offers a powerful means to compute diffeomorphisms between surfaces with the least angle distortion, namely the Teichmuller mapping. The Teichmuller mapping has deep connections with holomorphic quadratic differentials. In this talk, we introduce the way to construct the basis of the space of all holomorphic quadratic differentials, and to produce the Teichmuller mapping.
