Non-isometric shape matching via conformal Laplace-Beltrami Basis PursuitMS22

Surface registration is one of the most fundamental problems in geometry processing. Many approaches have been developed to compute such maps in cases where the shapes are nearly isometric. However, it is a much more challenging task to compute correspondence for shapes which are intrinsically less similar. In this talk, I will discuss a variational model to adaptively compute the Laplace-Beltrami (LB) eigensytem of two non-isometric shapes via conformal deformations.
